Take A Beachfront Vacation

August 25, 2010

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the work week and wanted some time where you could just relax? Are you and your family looking for the perfect destination to unwind and create some lifelong memories? Or are you and your significant other just looking for a romantic getaway? Nothing fits these descriptions better than a perfect beach vacation.

Get some sun in the warm sand and immerse yourself in the ocean waters this summer. There are many phenomenal oceanfront vacation packages that await you with just the simple click of a button.

The first big decision you must make is where you would like to go and what kind of beach you are looking for. Traditional destinations in the United States include beachfront vacation rental properties in North Carolina, Miami or parts of Southern California. However, if you wanted to go tropical, there are plenty of resorts in foreign lands that would be happy to accommodate you.

You need to think about who is traveling with you. Families might be better suited for family-friendly resorts – ones with many different programs for children during the day such as day camps or fun activities, and things for the entire family to do after the sun sets. If its a vacation between two people, look for a place with great restaurants, a gorgeous and secluded beach and rooms where you can really make your time away as romantic and personal as possible.

It is easy to have a phenomenal beach vacation – there are many great options available all over the world that are perfect for any kind of trip or gathering. Look into the best price packages online after choosing your destination and you are sure to find a resort or hotel that is perfect for you. Make sure it has beach access and plenty to do, and you’ll be on your way to a phenomenal beach vacation in no time at all.

Pattaya is an exciting beach resort a short taxi ride from the capital city of Bangkok.  It has garnered a seedy reputation for it’s crazy nightlife, but is well worth a look when planning a vacation to Thailand.

One of the things that makes this such a sought after place to visit is all of the great sightseeing trips located in and around the city.  Most are just a short trip from any of the Pattaya Hotels. You could easily find enough places to visit to fill up an entire weeks itinerary and still have some places left to visit on your next trip.

One popular place is the Nong Nooch Botanical Gardens.  It is the largest of it’s kind in Southeast Asia.  Set on over 100 acres of land, it is beautifully manicured and hosts all sorts of native and tropical plants.

In addition to the gardens their are a whole bunch of other activities to take advantage of on the trip.  They have a great Thai cultural center that puts on performances throughout the day.  It is a fun way to experience history from the different areas of the country.  They put on a traditional Thai wedding ceremony, traditional Thai music and dance performance, and even a Muay Thai boxing exhibition.

There are plenty of souvenir stands with your typical tourist trinkets, but they also have some authentic Thai crafts for sale which are quite nice.  And if you get hungry, they have many restaurants on site that cater to a wide variety of world cuisines.  You can find Thai, Korean, and many western foods just to name a few.

You can hire a taxi or baht bus to take you to Nong Nooch if you feel comfortable doing some negotiation.  Most drivers know where it is located, and if they don’t speak English they will usually have a sheet with different destinations listed along with a picture so you can just point to where you want to go.

All in all, Nong Nooch is a great way to spend the day sightseeing, and if you like taking photos, this is a must see place in your travel plans.
